Mok Fa waterfall sits in a lovely natural setting within the area of Doi Suthep – Pui National Parking
Mok Fa Waterfall is teeming with lush verdurous plants and complete of water yearlong. The charming ambience of the waterfall makes it an ideal place for leisure.
About an hour (45km) along the road from Chiang Mai to Pai in the Doi Suthep – Pui National Park is a spectacular waterfall called Mok Fa Waterfall. Standing over 60 meters tall it is spectacular even in the late dry season, and is a good place for a swim and to chill out if you are making the tour package from Chiang Mai to Pai.
Mok Fa Waterfall is originated from the stream that runs from the thick wood and separates into two streams falling from the stone cliff. The area is full of large trees and plants like moss and fern and the moisture from the waterfall steam can also cool the air. The best time to visit this place is during the winter since the water is so clean and clear that the tourists can go swimming at the swamp below.

The most effective time to go to Mork Fa Waterfall is during the winter since the water is so clean and clear that the vacationers can go swimming on the swamp below.
There’s also possible to get inside the Bat Cave. Wet, dark and smell don’t stand near the cave entrance though because they will run right into you. Even if your not there at dusk it’s worth going up to have a look, not at the cave but the view of the waterfall. Be careful crossing the stream though it’s slipery.
Escape the heat in the shallow pool and surrounding greenery of Mok Fa Waterfall. A short stroll takes you to an excellent picnic area. Take good shoes, as some parts of the trail are steep and slippery

How to get there :
Mok Fa Waterfall is situated on the North Side of Doi Suthep/Pui National Park around 45km from Chiang Mai on route 1095 to Pai and Mae Hong Son. The Falls are actually situated a further couple of KM down a semi paved road but it is well signposted on route 1095. If you do not have your own transport then charter a car, taxi or Songtaew in Chiang Mai., however due to the distance this may be a bit of a way to travel to view just the one waterfall. Mok Fa is actually situated on the Chiang Mai to Pai route so most visitors will be on their way to Pai or Mae Hong Son when they drop by.
